TIMELINE OF PROJECTS

I thought it would be fun to make a record of all of my projects, from my childhood to now!

2007 - 2008

SQUARE POOS/MKO

A series of comics which centred around strange creatures called 'Square Poos'. MKO came around the same time, which was basically the adventures of mine and my friends' self inserts characters.

2013 - Present

MOUNT OTHRYS

A retelling of the stories of the Titans of Greek mythology, with Kronos, Prometheus and Hyperion as the main protagonists. This was inspired by Percy Jackson at the time, but has since evolved into its own universe.

2016 - 2018

THE KINGDOMS UNBOUND

The Fazbear King eventually became a serious project: TKU, an alternate FNAF universe where the characters were four-legged animals with elemental powers living in kingdoms. This series was very Warrior Cats inspired, and also had lots of odd things that didn't really make sense. It was my first attempt at writing a big plotline on my own.

2016 - 2018

HOUSE ANIMALS

A comedy comic series with anthropomorphic animals inspired by the names of the houses at my secondary school: Camrose, Hackwood, Brookvale and Loddon.

2017 - Present

FURLONG & CO

I found that I enjoyed working on the concept of anthro FNAF more than I did TKU, so in 2017 I switched to F&C as my main project. It went through several iterations, from a comic to an ask blog to its final format, a written book. Then I realised that I wanted to make it completely my own, so all the characters' names were changed. Its FNAF roots are still painfully obvious though. Although for now I'm not working on it, I hope to bring it back one day!

THE MUSHROOM CLUB

A collaborative world made with my friends in junior school. Featured MapleStory-inspired mushroom characters going on adventures.

2015

THE FAZBEAR KING

A parody of FNAF, very inspired by The Lion King. This would eventually become TKU.

2015 - 2016

UNNAMED FNAF AU

afbac_is_here__by_ango_the_angolion-d92h8kh.png

Like The Fazbear King, this was an AU of the classic FNAF games, but centred around the animatronics. There was no Afton, it was mainly just a soap opera focused on the animatronics' lives. This was the start of what would become Fazbear/Furlong & Co.

THE ENIGMA OF ANIMATRONICA

Inspired by Chewbot's 'The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing', which scared the hell out of me at the time. I decided to make my own version based on my FNAF hyperfixation. It was going to be an interactive PowerPoint presentation, but I never finished it. Mike, an electrician, takes a job offer to repair the power in a village. What he doesn't know is that the village is hiding a secret. What was that secret? No idea.

THE SIX SAVIOURS

(GUARDIANS OF ORIENTARU)

Around this time, I created my original species, the 'bearkindred'. Like much of my stuff, it has its roots in FNAF, specifically TKU as I liked the idea of the four-legged characters. The Six Saviours came later. I was experimenting with shape language and tried to design six characters based off of different shapes, and the Saviours were born! They were a team of demigods tasked with defeating a traitorous old storm god.

I ended up reworking their designs for a college project in 2021.

ANGAWD: EVERLONG

Definitely a hallmark of its time, Everlong was supposed to bring all of my characters together to fight a mysterious god of darkness named Zyzegon. I guess you could say that everyone is here. I still think about it from time to time and I think it could be fun to pick back up in the future. Can you tell I was inspired by Smash Ultimate and Infinity War?

HEROES OF ASHIHARA VILLAGE

In January 2019, I bought Animal Crossing New Leaf. I thought it would be a fun game to play alongside Pokemon. It then proceeded to influence every year of my life afterwards. As such, HOAV started as an Animal Crossing AU - and it wasn't even called HOAV to begin with. If you search hard enough, you might be able to find its original iteration: a fanfiction called 'Not Nook's Child' which was about Dominic, the son of Tom Nook and Sable. It was an edgy parody that I didn't really expect to go that far...and then one day I wondered what it would be like if the characters from the games had elemental powers and went on a journey. You can see how that ended up. First it was a book, and then lockdown happened and I got to do it as a comic like I'd always wanted. To this day, HOAV is one of the projects that means the most to me, and I am determined to complete it as a comic!

OUTCAST

Following in the bearkindred's footsteps was Outcast, the story of two tribes at war with each other. Fjordor, the son of the bearkindred tribe leader, meets Brunhilda, an outlaw of the 'kaninslekt' tribe. Together they were supposed to stop the war and show their tribes the errors of their ways. The world was based off of Norse mythology.

2022 - Present

MOFF (WORKING TITLE)

After one of my friends introduced me to Hollow Knight (more on that later), I realised I loved moths and wanted to make a story with mothlike creatures.

What resulted was the concept of, again, two kingdoms: the Moon Kingdom and the Sun Kingdom. When the king and queen of the Moon Kingdom are murdered by Sun assassins, the Moon princess Antherina finds herself thrust into what she wanted - adventure - far too soon. She comes across a sun moth, Veskan (owned by that same friend), and together they try to uncover the secrets of the kingdoms and establish peace again. They soon discover that they aren't the only ones with that idea...and the Sun King Henioch isn't going to let it happen.

This project is a collab with the friend mentioned, Ginger!

2023 - Present

DOPE KNIGHT

I hadn't slept one night and at 5am, whilst waiting for a family member to arrive, decided to write a stupid Hollow Knight parody. This is probably why Dope Knight turned out the way it did. My goal was just to write whatever came into my head, making up the plot as I went along, and before I knew it I had finished chapter 1 of the first book. I love working on Dope Knight. It's something I don't have to take completely seriously, and I can just have fun with it! Against my better judgement, I'm adapting the first (and maybe third) book into a comic.

2024 - Present

FOGCLAN/WHALEBONECLAN

Both FogClan and WhaleboneClan were conceived in the same year, and they're connected! They are based off of a Clangen game with supernatural horror elements incorporated into it. FogClan is a Discord roleplay server. Later on, I was inspired by the trend of Clangen blogs on Tumblr and decided to make WhaleboneClan, the story of a group of cats haunted by their disturbing traditions and rituals. With Whalebones, I get to experiment with a more gritty art style, which is tons of fun!

2017

TSUKI NO KORONI

Tsuki no Koroni (Colony of the Moon) is a Shinto-inspired story about a group of rabbits. Their leader, Kawauso, discovers that she has a strange connection to the jade rabbit on the moon. Nothing ever became of this unfortunately, but I still enjoy the characters.

2018

RABBIT WARRIORS

Rather oddly, this one's based on a Minecraft world that I still have! The concept was simple: what if Warrior Cats but with rabbits? This idea became a roleplay group on deviantART and Discord for a while, but eventually interest died down and now it's just a kind of sandbox world for me. I still do enjoy drawing the cast though! It's kind of a spiritual successor to Tsuki no Koroni.
